Throughout the coarse of Disney’s history many villains have been created to give the protagonists a run for their money.  But which ones were made by Disney’s writers to be the most Evil.  I think that Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Scar, Ursula, and Cruella Deville are the top five most evil Disney villains of all time.

1.Maleficent

In the movie Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent cursed Aurora to fall into an eternal sleep on her 16th birthday for not being invited to her royal crisining.  With this curse Maleficent ultimately took away  Aurora twice from the king and queen.  She had took Aurora away once by making her parents so worried that Maleficent would continue cursing their daughter that they sent her off to live in the forest with three fairies.  This did not allow Aurora to be raised by her own parents, causing years of sadness for both her and her parents.  Maleficent then had her fall into an eternal sleep on her 16th birthday thus taking Aurora away forever.   When Prince Phillip tried to save Aurora Maleficent made a huge wall of thorns to keep him out and she turned into a dragon to try and kill him.

2.Evil Queen

The Evil Queen was one of the first evil villains to face a princess and she is sill one of the best.  She tried to kill her own step daughter because she was more beautiful than her.  But when that attempt failed Snow White was forced to go into hiding and live with strangers who only allowed her to live with them if she cleaned and cooked for them.  When the Evil Queen realized that Snow White was not dead she used a potion to turn herself into an old lady to try and get Snow White to eat a poison apple.  Like any evil villain her devious plan fell back on her (literally).

3.Scar

Scar was so jealous that he was not able to be king because he had a big brother Mufasa who was born before him.  He was so angry that he went to great lengths to take over the kingdom.  he killed his own brother by pushing him off a cliff into a stampede when Mufasa was trying to save Simba.  He then convinced his own nephew that it was all his fault that his dad had died and that the only way to survive the guilt was to run away.  Of coarse Scar wouldn’t tell a soul what had happened.  Scar then took over the kingdom in which he was a terrible king.  He drew out the land of all its resources that made it a barren waste land.  He also took his brother’s wife as his own even when she did everything in her ability to stay true to Mufasa.

4.Ursula

Ursula took advantage of Arial in one of her worst moments by making a deal with her to go on land with legs to see her true love Eric but if she doesn’t get a kiss from him in three days Arial’s soul will become Ursula’s.  To make the deal even harder for Ariel Ursula takes away her voice that Eric had fallen in love with when he heard her sing.  When Ariel almost achieves her kiss Ursula takes human form as Vanessa to try and stop Eric from falling in love with Ariel.  As Vanessa, Ursula takes Ariel’s voice and puts Eric under a love Spell so that he will fall in love with her.  When Arial does not achieve the kiss and her soul becomes Ursula’s King Triton was at his worst moment allowing Ursula to take over the thrown.

5.Cruella Deville

First off Cruella Deville’s name translates to cruel devil which makes since why she was named that.  At the beginning of the movie Cruella makes a huge offer to buy all the puppies, the last of which she needs to make her designer jacket made out of puppy fur.  But when the family denies the offer she had to resort to stealing them so that she could make her jacket.  Once she got all the puppies she needed which according to her had the softest fur she was going to skin the 101 puppies for the jacket.  The puppies eventually get away and Cruella got arrested.

But Every Villain Has Their Reasons

Have you ever asked yourself, Why did they do it?  After all there are two sides to every story.

So why did Maleficent ruin the king and queens life.  She had the power to ruin everyones life if she wanted to, but she didn’t.  The king and queen had to have done something to make her that mad.  Maleficent might have just wanted to have a friend because she was born an evil fairy.  She might have tried to be the king and queens friend but they rejected her because she was evil.  Or like in the movie Maleficent, she may have dated the king and he betrayed her.

Why be the fairest

The Evil Queen has to have a reason to want to be the fairest of them all.  When she was young she might not have been as pretty as she was when she was grown.  She might have been made fun of for it and wanted to prove everyone wrong by marrying the king.  When she grew older she also was arrogant so she might have thought that the queen had to be the prettiest and the best at everything.

Scar was born the second child behind Mufasa and since Mufasa was the first child he was first in line to become king.  Because of this Scar’s parents might have paid almost all of their attention on Mufasa to prepare him to be king.  And once Scars parents died his only chance to prove to his parents that he would be just as good at being king as his brother would be to kill him.  He also teams up with the hyenas which in the movie are seen as lower and are exiled out of the kingdom.

Ursula isn’t all that bad

Ursula might take others souls because she doesn’t feel like she has one of her own anymore.  She also is not a mermaid like everyone else in King Triton’s kingdom is.  Because of this she might not have felt as an equal and started to explore the dark side of things to find a way to get revenge.  She also took over King Triton’s kingdom because she needed to prove that she can be the important one.

Cruella, Cruella, Cruella

Something had to have made Cruella Deville hate dogs so much that she wanted t make a jacket that involved killing 101 dalmations to get the fur to make it.  Maybe when she was younger she had a dog that absolutely hated her.  She might have just also not liked any kind of animal.

In today’s society many things crack people making them do evil things.  As stated earlier there are two sides to every story.  So what side do you believe is the true side of their personality.  Good … or Evil.
