Here is My List of the Top 10 Things to do in New York City:

9/11 memorial

The 9/11 memorial is a place to remember all the victims who died in the terror attack on the twin towers on September 11, 2001. Being here and looking at this memorial is really an emotional experience. When you are standing there reading all of them names on the memorial it really gives you a sense of how many people lost their lives and how many families had to go through a loss like that.

Times Square

When you’re in NYC times square is a must see. Going there at night and during the day are totally different experiences. In the day and night, there are just as many people. In times square there is shopping, shows to see, museums to go to, tours to take, and of course, people watching.

Bus Tour

The Hop-on-hop-off bus tours are the easiest way to get around the whole city and see everything that you want to see. You can take an Uptown, Midtown, and Downtown route. A few places that you can see get off at on the tours include The Empire State Building, Soho/little Italy and Chinatown, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Times square and shopping, Central Park, Zoo, Museums and Grand Central Station.

Central Park

in the center of NYC. In Central Park, there are many different activities to participate in like different festivals, different kinds of tours and activities for kids along with a zoo.

Broadway Show

There are so many different shows that you can see on Broadway. While you are there you get the best experience, the best actors and the best sets for the shows. Some of the shows that you can see right now include Hamilton, The Lion King, Wicked, School of Rock-The Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, Aladdin and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This is something that is a must do when you visit.

Shopping

From-High end brands to everyday brands, NYC has it all when it comes to shopping. No matter where you go there will most likely be some type of store. A few high-end stores are Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Prada and Chanel just to name a few. Then you go to the lower end of the spectrum and you can find Walmart, Target, Macy’s and Kmart.

Little Italy

Little Italy is a place where you get a little taste of the Italian culture. They have many many different traditional restaurants. Not only is there food but they also have little shops. When you are here it feels like you have stepped into a totally different city.

Statue of Liberty

The Statue of liberty is one of the most famous statues in the country. It is a display of this country’s freedom and given to us from France. It is located on Liberty Island right by Liberty State Park and Ellis Island. To get to the island you have to take a ferry. When you get to the island it is really cool to be standing in front of the country’s symbol of freedom.

Restaurants

Serendipity 3, LadureeDylan’s candy bar are just a few of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Serendipity 3 is best known for their frozen hot chocolate, which is so good. Another one of next favorite places to eat in NYC is Ladurée, When you step into the restaurant it does not feel like you are in New York anymore, but instead you feel like you are in Paris. My favorite things there are the macaroons. They come in so many different flavors, and they come in super cute boxes! And lastly, my favorite place to eat is Dylan’s Candy Bar. They have really good ice cream desserts. On the bottom floor they have a huge candy shop and on the top, they have a really good restaurant. (links to images are in the names of the restaurants)

Top of the Rock & The Empire State Building

The first image is the view you get from the empire state building observatory deck, and the second image is at the top of the rock observatory. They both have spectacular views of the city. The empire state building observatory decks are on the 86th and 102nd floor, where you can get a 360 degrees view of the whole city. The Top of the Rock observatory is on the top of the Rockefeller Center. Top of the Rock gives you views of Central Park, Midtown, and Skyscrapers.

There are so many things to do there and it’s hard to just pick a few things to do, but that is my top 10 things to do next time you visit NYC. On someone else’s list they may include things like going to an Art Museum, The Met, Rockefeller Center, the Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown and Madison Square Garden. Overall, no matter where you go you are guaranteed to have a great time during your stay.

As someone who’s done every single thing on this list, I can definitely say the only disappointing thing on this list was Serendipity. The frozen hot chocolate was simply average, and the food was bad. However, everything else on this list is so much fun and I would advise everyone and anyone to experience NYC.
