The Miracle of Men: Why Men are Better than Women

About half the people reading this article will hate it

You know who you are.

The debate on which gender is better has been going on for an unnecessarily long time. To end this argument, all you have to do is google a few things that impact our lives every day. If you Google “best inventors” a list of inventors come up. Unsurprisingly, the list is dominated by men with you having to scroll 2 times before reaching the first woman. Now considering the fact the population has always been about 50-50, women need to step up their game. Now google “presidents of the greatest country ever made” (or you can skip the extra words and look up “President of the U.S.”). If you’re smarter than the average 3rd grader you probably won’t need to google this to know that no women are on the list. Some people might argue women’s suffrage but 2020 marks 100 years since women were allowed to vote. Another thing that drastically impacts our lives is sports which brings us to the last search of “100 greatest athletes”. This shows you to a list of athletes and unsurprisingly men dominate the list again. With these 3 searches in mind most people see the obvious answer but if you’re still a skeptic of this FACT (aka a woman) then read on to learn about the miracle that is man.

Bigger is Better

Bigger is always better. One of the most truthful things that anyone’s ever said. Whether it’s a bigger house or bigger jars of Nutella or a bigger brain. In all these things men usually end up on the bigger side because they’re the only ones who don’t care about the amount of calories in Nutella. The YouTube channel AsapScience who touch on sciences of the human body explain some differences in the brain makeup of men and women.

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKJFESU7hqE[/embedyt]

If you listened to the important parts of the video, the part about bigger not always being better is not being one of them, you heard that men’s brains are on average 8-13% bigger. This just inherently makes men’s brains better no questions asked, case closed, finem fabula. The video also states that men show stronger visual-spatial abilities. Kate Kelly a writer for Understood.org explains visual-spatial abilities writing, “Visual-spatial processing is the ability to tell where objects are in space. That includes your own body parts. It also involves being able to tell how far objects are from you and from each other.” This basically means  This is a lot more useful than “stronger verbal abilities”. The amount of things a person can do with stronger verbal abilities is very limited. Does this mean you can gossip better? Throw shade? Call your ex at 2 am saying that the breakup was your fault and that you want him back? If this is what stronger verbal skills entail then women can keep their stronger verbal abilities. Stronger visual-spatial abilities sound way cooler (like something from The Matrix).

Bruce Goldman, a writer for Stanford Medicine, supports Asap Science’s claims with the research of Nirao Shah, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford University. Goldman’s article states,

“Men, on average, can more easily juggle items in working memory. They have superior visuospatial skills: They’re better at visualizing what happens when a complicated two- or three-dimensional shape is rotated in space, at correctly determining angles from the horizontal, at tracking moving objects and at aiming projectiles.Navigation studies in both humans and rats show that females of both species tend to rely on landmarks, while males more typically rely on dead reckoning: calculating one’s position by estimating the direction and distance traveled rather than using landmarks.”

This is why your dad should always get the map.

The Harsh Truth

If you’ve made it this far into the article,  you’re in one of 2 categories right now. Either you think I, the author, am a sexist, pompous, overblown, bigoted ignoramus or … you’re a man. With this observation, a question arises. Do only men believe that males are better and vice versa?

The answer is no.

Not only do men know that they’re better but women know it too and have known it for a long time. Frank Newport a writer for Gallup News states, ” If Americans could have only one child, they would prefer that it be a boy rather than a girl, by a 40% to 28% margin, with the rest having no preference or no opinion on the matter. These attitudes are remarkably similar to what Gallup measured in 1941 when Americans preferred a boy to a girl by a 38% to 24% margin.” This shows that for the past 76 years males have been the preference in childbirth. These polls were based on the answers of both men and women and provide undeniable proof as to which gender is preferred by most people. Lauren Probert a writer from the New York Post writes, “Women get more stressed than men about “every key life event” — from losing their smartphone to Brexit, researchers say.” This extra stress is of no use and only brings trouble to people around them.

Frequently Argued Statements

Even after the eloquently stated reasons and arguments as to why men are better, some people (not going to name any groups *cough* women *cough*), still fail to see why males are the better gender. These are some of the retorts to arguments brought up by people who don’t believe in the miracle of man. These well thought out responses were composed by a great chauvinist of the cause comedian and author Dick Masterson.

Masterson’s words are in bold, from his great novel Men are Better than Women (pg. 246-247)

Women are better at multitasking than Men!- Messing several things up at the same time is not multitasking.

Men have caused all the wars ever!- Men have also ended them.

Wasn’t Hitler a man?- Wasn’t Elvis?

Historically women were never given the opportunity to excel!- Excellence doesn’t need to be handed an opportunity.

God created man first and he didn’t just flip a coin, he did it for a reason. He needed something he could count on, something who wouldn’t let him down, something that wouldn’t be the first to eat the forbidden fruit. God needed man.

  1. Okay, so as an anti-feminist female, I am unsure if this is a joke. We have to remember women couldn’t invent in the past. We also have to remember all of us are equal under the law. If men were better then why are women graduating with higher honors in almost every subject? I think if we view ourselves as equals we would be better off. Women are smart, intelligent, strong. They do every job that men do and sometimes better. But men are compassionate, kind and humble. Respect the differences but don’t disrespect me. People are taking this seriously and it’s adding fuel to the flames.

  2. Clearly, this isn’t a matter of which gender is better, but rather which species is better. Both men and women have their faults, but polar bears can literally do no wrong. Think about that.

  3. First it is about the density of the neural connections not the size of the brain that matters. Otherwise elephants would be much smarter than humans
Second the ratio of males to females in Ap classes in this high school is overwhelmingly female to male. This may just be an example of women being more willing to take risks and challenge themselves then guys at our age but I do not think this simply because women are more willing to challenge themselves but more because they are smarter intellectually than men are. In my Ap classes, the girls consistently score higher on their tests then the guys do and have higher grades. This is not just a fluke. They are consistently better leaders in high school than males are. The best leaders on the robotics team are female while the males take a lazy approach to leading and do not do anything of actual value to the team on many occasions. If you take a look at this chart on the average gpa of females compared to males, it is clear that females are smarter than males. https://www.nationsreportcard.gov/hsts_2009/gender_gpa.aspx
This makes it pretty clear that not only are males not superior to females, but females might be superior to males

  4. Nice job this article is just for fun. This is hilarious. Don’t let the feminists bother you about this.

  5. I’m not going to go completely against this post and say that women are better than men because all women have ever wanted and worked for is to be equal to men, not to be better than men.

        1. It kind of did you need your moms egg and dads sperm to be born, my god its biology homie, learn how to sex

    1. Actually all the feminist stories bother me just as much trust me! I don’t like either gender being put ahead we’re all people.

  6. Bottom line, whatever you may believe about the condition of men and women, we both need each other. Without one of the genders, our society and the world wouldn’t be where it is today. In order for societies to succeed, there needs to be both feminine and masculine influence (this is just my viewpoint on the situation).

  7. Hello, prefect gift from God, I am Hannah, a woman. I know it must be surprising to see that a women is smart enough to read your post, much less form her own opinion based on actual facts, but here I am.

I dont know if you know this, or anything for the matter, but let me inform you about Stanford Neuroscience Institute whom says that the magnitude of our brains do not correlate to intelligence: “complexity of cellular and molecular organization of neural connections, or synapses, is what truly determines a brain’s computational capacity. This view is supported by findings that intelligence is more correlated with frontal lobe volume and volume of gray matter, which is dense in neural cell bodies and synapses, than sheer brain size”(https://neuroscience.stanford.edu/news/ask-neuroscientist-does-bigger-brain-make-you-smarter). The only reason that men have a larger brain is because they are taller than average and organ size is normally proportional to height: “cranial size could be accounted for by the fact that the gene is also correlated with human height.”

Your argument that “men show stronger visual-spatial abilities” can only be a false generalization because I, as a women have am living proof that some women can be significantly superior to men when it comes to visual spatial interpretation. I have taken official IQ tests in which one of the facites is denoted as Visual Spatial interpretation in which I scored in the 98.9% and 99.9%tile. So if men are so much better when it comes to visual spatial interpretation how do women like me exist? Or is that just a vague generalization that is invalid based on the fact that we are all human and thus differences exist among all. Human differences such as heightened visual spatial interpretation can statistically show that men are “better” but perhaps men’s heighten visual spatial interpretation is just a trend and not due to solely their gender. You then follow up by disregarding people with substantial verbal skills. In fact people with stronger verbal skills can make great leaders as they can be more charismatic and express ideas in a more elegant way. You want to know the true reason why men have “better visual spatial skills”, it’s not because they are men it’s because they are dyslexic. On average 2/3 of dyslexics score above the 80th tile on visual spatial IQ tests. While more men are reported to be dyslexic most dyslexics go undiagnosed.

If men are smarter and better at visual spatial interpretation then how come they aren’t smart enough to not commit crimes? 1,352/100,000 men, verses 126/100,000 women were imprisoned in the United States on average (https://www.prisonpolicy.org/graphs/genderinc.html).

“Excellence doesn’t need to be handed an opportunity” but women in third world countries who are being raped and forbidden to learn are far from just not getting opportunities. These women with POTENTIAL are being physically restrained by these “Genius men”.

If men’s brains are so big then how come you don’t have the brain capacity to comprehend that human beings are DIFFERENT and that the trends you describe about men are TRENDS and therefore not legitimately caused by gender.

Because you are such a superior genius about humans why don’t you tell me what God’s opinion of women are in this Bible QUOTES.

“So God created man in his own image,

    in the image of God he created him;

male and female he created them”(Genesis 1:27).

“For God does not show favoritism”(Romans 2:11).

Maybe God created man first so his useless ego wouldn’t be bruised.

    1. While we are quoting the Bible…
      Unto the woman he said,
      I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception;
      in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;
and thy desire shall be to thy husband,
and he shall rule over thee.

    2. Question for you, if so many men commit crimes and so many men start wars, then why are so many women waging war on the unborn?

  8. although it seems you have intentionally brought up this topic to anger women, you did a very nice job of bringing up statistics and making the blog at least sound smart. Mediocre at best, have a nice day.

  9. 1. Leymah Gbowee. She was given a Nobel peace prize for ending the civil war in liberia. Which started because of Muammar Gaddafi, A man.
    2. The difference of brain sizes doesn’t affect our intelligence. A study done by Michael Price (A man) It’s stated that “women tended to have significantly thicker cortices than men. Thicker cortices have been associated with higher scores on a variety of cognitive and general intelligence tests.
    3. More women are in medical school then men now. Thus proving my previous point that women score better leading them into a better education.
    4. Neuroscientist Hikaru Takeuchi (a man) has stated in his study that people who hold sexist attitudes tend to have less gray matter in their brain. Showing that people who are sexist tend to be dumber.
    5.
6/10 biggest countries in the world (land size) have had a women in power.
7/10 countries with the best economy have had a women in power.

    1. 10/10 of the biggest countries have had a large majority of men in power.
10/10 countries with the best economy have had a large majority of men in power.
      and you skipped #5, Sebastian.

  10. I noticed your Bible reference at the end doesn’t have a citation. Here, I’ll make one for you:

Genesis 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, WHO WAS WITH HER, and he ate it.

The all-caps segment shows that Adam was standing right next to Eve while she gets tricked by the serpent into eating the forbidden fruit, never speaking up to defend his wife. He also witnesses firsthand how the fruit negatively affects Eve, and still thinks it’s a good idea to take a bite.

Way to multitask, OG man! Glad to see you’re putting your bigger brain to use!

  11. Very interesting. Your last point is something I found to be quite hilarious, considering that God made women for men. Clearly, you can’t survive without us. As far as opportunity goes, had you ever considered that women were the geniuses behind famous inventions and men stole the credit? By dismissing women’s accomplishments, your point becomes irrelevant. If you wanted me to truly believe your argument, you should have cited specific women who have succeeded and proven that they were lesser, rather than citing opinionated lists or lists that have discrimination written all over them. But, you wouldn’t have been able to do that, simply because the women who succeed do it despite what they go through, and show the same strength that men in their positions show.

  12. I feel like a lot of this is just trying to get a reaction. Let me tell you, you have succeeded. There have been plenty of female inventors since the very start of the human race, such as Hypatia, Rosalind Franklin, Hedy Lamarr, Valerie Thomas, and so many more. Women have been in science for hundreds of years, you just didn’t bother to look for any.
Also, while women were technically given the right to vote in 1920, many groups of women were restricted by, you guessed it, men. Native American women were allowed to vote until 1924 when the US Government passed the Indian Citizenship Act to give native American citizenship. Even then, both black and Native American women were still being restricted in the polls via literacy tests, fees, and land status.
Top 100 athletes is mostly dominated by men because until 2012, not every country had women on their team. It’s dominated by men because most of the time women’s sports are often funded less.
Overall, I don’t think that this post was serious. I think that a reaction was your goal here, and you have succeeded. Congratulations on probably the most controversial post of the year!

  13. I hope this was just to get a reaction and controversy. I’m not a feminist and I do believe women are already equal but this post bothered me. There are women scientists and athletes etc. just like men. In history, men had to restrict women from everything and take away their rights so they wouldn’t have to share their spotlight but hey its 2018 and things have changed. Women are doing great things for the world just like men are. Some things are just pure fact like men are naturally stronger than women but that doesn’t mean without hard work a woman could be stronger. Women are naturally better at caretaking but that also doesn’t mean a man could be good at it too. It’s all how you think of things, my favorite thing to do is dirt track racing which is a male-dominated sport but that doesn’t stop me from beating all the boys;)

  14. I love the way you believe that since more overall men in science mean there better scientists or in some way smarter than women. (sarcastic tone) Your lack of knowledge upon your entire article is rather disappointing. Did you bother looking up any women in scientists? Clearly not. So I did for you:
    https://www.thoughtco.com/famous-women-scientists-3528329
In many instances male scientists steal the research female scientists have done and announce it was their research to begin with. One example was James Watson and Francis Crick in the 1950s they were believed to have discovered the structure of DNA. But in reality it was Rosalind Franklin, who because she was a woman she didn’t get the recognition she deserved. Another fun story to tell was the witch trials throughout 1645 to 1693. Remember that, clearly not. If women spoke of science, technology, engineering, mechanics they were burned at the stake. If you wanted your article to be a lack of knowledge, disappointing controversy congratulations you did just that.

  15. Though I understand that the sole purpose of this article is to offend people- particularly women, and even more particularly, feminists, your article is extremely biased. All of your sources were written by men defending their masculinity. None of your points are considering the other side of the story. None of it is considerate to those who believe that both genders deserve equal chances or opportunities, despite the very… “scientific” standpoint you have that men are superior. You talk about statistics that show how that men’s brains are bigger (which has no correlation to the amount of brain cells developed or nerve endings that REALLY show how intelligent somebody is) but fail to acknowledge the fact that women have the capability to be smarter than men. You also say that more men are inventors, but you ignore the fact that women were murdered, burned at the stake for being scientists (ie. Hypatia, an egyptian astronomer/inventor/mathematician/philosopher who was murdered by a Christian mob because of her occupation). For hundreds of years women have been stripped of the opportunity to become something bigger because of the stereotype that women are only capable of simple housework, machines used to wash dishes and make children. Stuffed into a box, unable to shine.
Maybe instead of degrading the other side and focusing your research EXCLUSIVELY on how men are better, and using cheap opinions (“no woman has been president so therefor men are better” “women multitasking is just failing at multiple things at once” “God made Adam first, therefor men are superior”) you should do some research as well on how women have accomplished many things throughout history and how they have the potential to do well as long as we as a society give them the opportunity. 🙂

  16. As a Bisexual male. I agree. Men are kinda cool. Men are given all the opportunities in life, but that doesn’t mean women are not as deserving. I know this post was probably just to make all the feminists mad, but if you choose a fact such as “100 best athletes” you might wanna know Serena Williams is number 12. So I wouldn’t say men completely dominate the list. Also. Women give birth. So…. I would consider that pretty superior to the gender that cant even remember put the toilet seat down after they pee.

    1. Let’s be honest, if you’re watching a game of hockey, and the other team scores 11 goals before you get one, you’re getting dominated. Also what gender cant even remember put the toilet seat down before they pee…

  17. I can’t say that I agree with this. And I also don’t agree with the fact that your final line has to do with religion. Not everyone has the same beliefs so you bringing this up does not support your post in the slightest. But if we are going to bring religion into this then let’s just say, God had to create a rough draft before the final copy.

  18. No offense, but isn’t it kind of ironic that nearly all of your sources were written by a man? Not to mention the fact that you failed to recognize the female gender altogether. You’re welcome for women giving birth to men by the way.

  19. Um, well I thought your blog choice was intersting, I would have to say that I don’t like your message. I really hope that you really don’t believe this, I liked your writing style, but I didn’t like the point of your writing, I think some people won’t realize the sexism in your post and run with the idea. I know the author is a good person, I would just hope that he or she doesn’t really mean what they are saying in their post.
